The Singapore Mediation Centre (SMC), established in 1997, is the flagship mediation centre of Singapore.

Apart from helping individuals and organisations to resolve disputes in an amicable manner, the SMC has also established itself as a training expert in the fields of negotiation mediation and conflict management in Singapore and the region.

International Mediation Institute is an international public policy initiative intended to benefit and add value to users of dispute resolution services, mediators, mediation service providers, governments and centres of learning.

 

The Institute was set up following research and analysis by three leading non-profit dispute resolution bodies:

 

  • Netherlands Mediation Institute (NMI)
  • Singapore Mediation Centre/Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SMC/SIAC)
  • International Centre for Dispute Resolution/American Arbitration Association (ICDR/AAA)
